Klaus-Grawe-Foundation for the Advancement of Psychotherapy Research

The Klaus-Grawe-Foundation was founded in Zurich in 2005.

The Foundation's purpose is to promote excellent, interdisciplinary and innovative research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy and their connected disciplines in order to improve prevention and treatment of psychological problems and disorders and to disseminate empirically
supported programs to the public through a variety of delivery systems to individuals, couples, families, businesses, and institutions.

"Klaus-Grawe-Think-Tank-Meeting" 2012

The "Klaus-Grawe-Think-Tank-Meeting" 2012 took place in Zurich and Zuoz, Engadine from June 23 to 27, 2012. The meeting's topic was:

“Children as victims: Psychosocial and psychobiological sequelae of early life violence exposure, state-of the art, future research recommendations and goals for translation to prevention and intervention programs”
co-hosted by Dr. Terrie Moffitt, Dr. Avshalom Caspi, and Dr. Mariann Grawe-Gerber.

Twelve international experts from the areas of developmental psychology, neurosciences, molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, immunology, clinical psychology, child psychiatry, and of service delivery and social policy have been invited to participate in this think-tank-meeting.

German Congress for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Luxembourg 2012

The German Congress for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy was organized by Prof. Dr. C. Vögele and took place from 17th until 19th May 2012 at the University of Luxembourg.

This year Dr. Andrea Danese, Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, held the Klaus-Grawe-Lunch Lecture and the topic of his lecture was "Childhood maltreatment and depression over the life-course: integrating biological and clinical findings".

Release of the special issue " Families in Trouble: Bridging the Gaps Among Child, Adult, and Couple Functioning" in February 2012

This special issue grew out of the efforts of an expert work group at a Klaus-Grawe Think-Tank Meeting convened by the Klaus-Grawe Foundation October 2010 in Switzerland. The meeting focused on critical aspects of children, adults, and
couples in relation to family adjustment, mental health, and well-being.

This book is about the newest developments, findings, and intervention programs in the field of couple research and about improving the dissemination of empirically based programs in order to make them more accessible to the public.
