The Klaus-Grawe-Foundation was founded in Zurich in 2005.
The Foundation's purpose is to promote excellent, interdisciplinary and innovative research in clinical psychology and psychotherapy and their connected disciplines in order to improve prevention and treatment of psychological problems and disorders.

German congress for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Luxembourg 2012
The next German Congress for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy will be organized by Prof. Dr. C. Vögele and will take place from 17th until 19th May 2012 at the University of Luxembourg.
This year Dr. Andrea Danese, Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, will hold the Klaus-Grawe-Lunch Lecture and the topic of his lecture will be "Childhood maltreatment and depression over the life-course: integrating biological and clinical findings".

"Klaus-Grawe-Think-Tank-Meeting" 2012
The "Klaus-Grawe-Think-Tank-Meeting" 2012 will take place in Zurich and Zuoz, Engadine from June 23 to 27, 2012. The meeting's topic will be:
“Children as victims: Psychosocial and psychobiological sequelae of early life violence exposure, state-of the art, future research recommendations and goals for translation to prevention and intervention programs”
co-hosted by Dr. Terrie Moffitt, Dr. Avshalom Caspi, and Dr. Mariann Grawe-Gerber.
Twelve international experts from the areas of developmental psychology, neurosciences, molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, immunology, clinical psychology, child psychiatry, and of service delivery and social policy have been invited to participate in this think-tank-meeting.

7th "Workshopkongress" Berlin 2011
The 7th Workshopkongress "Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie" took place in Berlin, Germany from June 2 to June 4, 2011. The convention's topic was "Conflicts - Emotions - Dialogs".
Among this year's keynote speakers were Prof. Dr. Dianne Chambless, University of Pennsylvania, USA, recipient of the "Klaus-Grawe-Award for the Advancement of Innovative Research in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy" 2011 and
Prof. Dr. David Clark, Kings College, London, lecturer at the "Klaus-Grawe-Lunch-Lecture" 2011.
The "Klaus-Grawe-Award" 2011 was awarded to Prof. Dr. Dianne Chambless on June 2, 2011 and her lecture topic will be "Evidence Based Psychotherapy – boon or bane?". Prof. Dr. David Clark's "Klaus-Grawe-Lunch-Lecture" took place on June 3, 2011 and was on
"Improving Access to Psychological Therapies for Anxiety Disorders and Depression: Science, Policy and Economics".

This book is about the newest developments, findings, and intervention programs in the field of couple research and about improving the dissemination of empirically based programs in order to make them more accessible to the public.
