The Foundation supports RECHARGE

Together with our partners, we are actively engaged in projects which make a meaningful contribution to our society to master the present crisis caused by COVID-19.

The Klaus Grawe Foundation supports the project RECHARGE at the University Hospital Zurich (USZ) and Zurich University. It is a brief psychological intervention to build resilience in health care workers during COVID-19.

RECHARGE is an intervention program for health care workers (HCWs) to cope with stress mainly caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program originally is developed by the WHO (“Problem Management Plus, published 2016) and adapted for the special circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic. As a brief psychological intervention for adults affected by adversity emerging from stress exposure, RECHARGE teaches HCWs well-documented strategies to manage acute stress. It includes psychoeducation, arousal reduction techniques, managing worries and problem-solving skills, behavioral activation, and enhancement of meaningful activities, all based on the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy.
